Independence Day Action Rifle Match
These benefit matches, for the benefit of AzCDL, are hosted by the Rio Salado Sportsman’s Club in Mesa, AZ. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of these fine folks, as well as the determination and competitive spirit of the many fine people who turned out to participate in the match, we raised much needed donations to help us continue the fight for your freedom. Thanks to all who came out, braved the heat, and celebrated our country’s birthday in the fashion that our Founders intended! Come join us at the next match!

AzCDL Annual Meeting of the Members
Our First Annual Meeting of the Members took place on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at the Thank-Q Banquet Hall in Phoenix, AZ. Entertainment by the Cartridge Family Band was well received, the food and drink were gratefully consumed, and our request that “Tasteful open carry of firearms is appreciated” was observed by most of the 100 or so attendees. As noted firearm law book author and AzCDL member Alan Korwin noted afterward, “Despite all the fully loaded accessible firepower, and an intense lack of adequate air-conditioning, no shootings or hostilities of any kind occurred in the three-hour session.” The media did not observe this lack of violence, as they were nowhere to be found.
Despite the media’s lack of notice of the obvious, something we in the gun owning community have grown quite accustomed to over the years, AzCDL will continue to encourage the citizens of Arizona to join us in exercising our human rights to assemble and bear arms, and by doing so, continue to demonstrate the obvious ... that society has nothing to fear from law-abiding citizens, and that public policy must reflect that fact.

Our Second Annual Meeting of Members took place on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at The Crowne Plaza Phoenix, which provided excellent food and service in one of their banquet rooms. Entertainment was again provided by the Cartridge Family Band. “Tasteful open carry of firearms” was observed, without incident, by the room full of attendees.
